Our mission statement: loveEXPLORING.com is passionate about creating fresh, accurate and insightful travel and history-focused content to inspire independent-minded travellers of all ages to explore our beautiful world. 

We've got a confession to make: we're travel addicts. We've got a perpetual case of wanderlust. When working we're constantly pining for the warmth of the tropical sunshine on some faraway island, and when at home we're almost always thinking about packing up and escaping on the next plane, train or boat.

This website is the manifestation of our passion: exploration. We've employed and commissioned some of the finest travel writers and adventurers to bring you tales of little-visited Icelandic cities, tips on how to keep the kids happy on holiday and pictures of some of Europe's smallest but most sensational destinations. We've got fresh perspectives and insider tips on cities like London, Paris, New York and Tokyo, and some incredible photography of our Earth from above.

Whatever your travel tastes, we've got something you'll love. We cover everything from brilliant budget breaks to affordable luxury and the down-right extravagant. We've got city guides, destination features and gorgeous galleries, and we scour the web each week for the latest travel news and deals.

Dom Eames, Editor-in-Chief

After spending his twenties writing and producing film and TV, Dom has been leading award-winning digital editorial teams for Channel 4, Virgin Media, MSN.com and currently leads the LoveInc. editorial team. His adventures have taken him to every continent and he has written extensively on lifestyle subjects.

Abra Dunsby, Editor (on mat leave)

Having worked as a writer and editor for various travel trade and consumer titles over the years, Abra has plenty of knowledge about what the next travel trend will be, or which under-the-radar destination is about to have its moment in the spotlight. Half-Italian Abra is Italy-obsessed and has visited the destination countless times. She is also a US specialist. Her favourite destinations marry culture with sunshine, great food and history. 

Lynne Maxwell, Acting Editor

Lynne has 18 years’ experience working across a broad range of journalism on various print publications and online, but it’s travel she’s most passionate about. Tokyo and New York remain her favourite cities, but she’s eager to spend more time exploring Canada and Europe. When she’s not discovering new places, she can be found in a ballet, tap or modern class or on stage – dancing is her other love.

Luke Rix-Standing, Senior Features Editor

Luke got his start writing obituaries, before expanding into lifestyle features writing specialising in travel. He loves backpacking and staying on the move, and as a student spent two months in Florence – the one city he keeps going back to.

Jack Clayton, Features Editor

Jack has been writing about adventure travel for over 10 years. From skiing in Japan and climbing mountains in Morocco to going for walks in the British countryside, he loves getting outdoors and experiencing nature. On city breaks, you'll find him wandering art galleries and enjoying local culture. 

Lizzie Cox, Features Editor

Lizzie kicked off her career as an entertainment journalist, writing about all things music, film and TV. After an eight-year stint in Vancouver, Canada, working as a content manager across various brands, she is now back home in the UK and enjoying being able to explore Europe regularly once more. Favourite destinations include Portugal’s Algarve region, and absolutely anywhere in France. 

Hannah Foster-Roe, Senior Features Writer

Whether it was poetry in primary school or playscripts as a uni postgrad, Hannah always loved writing. She has previously contributed to various print and digital publications on both sides of the Atlantic. Some of her favourite countries to explore are Spain, Greece, Croatia and the UK, but she’s keen to sniff out the amazing food, cultural heritage and natural beauty of every place she goes.

Peter Moore, Senior Features Writer 

Born in Sydney, living in London, Peter has been travelling since a random encounter with the Big Nambas of Vanuatu when he was 19. He has six travel narratives under his belt, published by Penguin Random House, and at last count has visited 114 countries. He was Associate Web Editor at Wanderlust for nine years, has written for publications across the globe and is always on the lookout for his next travel adventure.
