    Ripping a soda can apart without touching it? Enter: Hassan CHREIM, PhD and magnetic field. 🦸♂️ Hassan used the Electromagnetic Engineer and the Structural Mechanics Engineer Roles on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Here's his explanation. ⬇️ In this simulation, a coil is wrapped around a soda can and fed with a 2000-amp Gaussian pulse current (up to 1.5 KHz). The magnetic field induces a current on the aluminum Can (Faraday Law), and thus, a Lorentz force is developed on the can, which is pointing inwards, according to Flemming's right-hand rule. The force created rips the can apart with an impressive built-up speed up to 123 miles per hour. #CSTStudioSuite #Abaqus #3DEXPERIENCEWorks

    4RealSim uses Abaqus in the SimInSitu EU project. 💙 SimInSitu aims to develop sophisticated in-silico methods to predict the short- and long-term behavior of in-situ tissue-engineered heart valves (TEHV) by combining advanced tissue remodeling algorithms with a personalized virtual heart modeling approach. The method will be specifically developed to predict the complex transformation process of biodegradable heart valves from the initially synthetic scaffold into a fully remodeled and functional valve.
