PMC-Nepal's Country Director Speaks On Entertainment-Education

Since 2016, PMC-Nepal has designed, written, and produced three full-length social behavior change radio shows with both national and regional broadcast partners reaching audiences in the millions. In addition to these mass media programs, PMC has worked with grassroots girls’ empowerment organizations to incorporate entertaining content and strategy into life skills sessions for out-of-school girls’ community theater programs. The most recent project, Rope Guna Fal (“You Reap What You Sow”), engaged an estimated 325,026 Nepalis every week, proving that we can change hearts and minds if we engage people on the most human level – by telling transformative stories.

Tune in as PMC-Nepal's Country Director Rajan Parajuli speaks about social norms and changing behavior using entertainment education.

Accelerating Progress: A Call to Action to End Child Marriage by 2030

Bill Ryerson, President and Founder of Population Media Center (PMC), delves into the findings of the UNICEF 2023 Child Marriage report. Ryerson emphasizes the importance of PMC's role in rewriting the life stories of millions, particularly women and girls, who are affected by child marriage.

We cannot afford to wait any longer. We need to accelerate our efforts, learn from successful examples, and implement policies and programs that address the root causes of child marriage. It’s time for governments, organizations, communities, and individuals to unite in a concerted effort to make child marriage a relic of the past.

As we reflect, we invite you to explore PMC's Fall Newsletter—a window into the incredible journey we've undertaken in 2023. From global sustainability to women's empowerment and the magic of storytelling, this newsletter encapsulates the highlights of the second half of 2023.
