NACC Advocacy Alert: Texas Court Issues Injunction for State Employees
On June 20th, the NACC informed members about the US Department of Labor's updated minimum salary threshold for overtime pay, effective July 1, 2024. You can read the full newsletter here. On Monday, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas issued an injunction affecting state employees in Texas only. Additional court challenges to the mandate are expected and may be resolved before the next salary increase on January 1, 2025. In the meantime, employers must comply with the new guidelines.
