Life’s Onion goes PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness

Life’s Onion goes PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness

In 2015, it is estimated that among U.S. women there will be 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 40,290 breast cancer deaths (American Cancer Society. Cancer Facts and Figures 2015). While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. Many women are too scared to conduct self-exams.

October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. It is a collaboration of national public service organizations, professional medical associations and government agencies working together to promote breast cancer awareness. But the struggle with breast cancer and the need for support, research, and awareness – exist every month of every year.

Pink Onions

We felt that Life’s Onion could be a valuable tool to help individuals overcome the negative feelings and emotions that are frequently the result of battling Breast Cancer. So, we made our very first customized onion in PINK to be used in solidarity with Breast Cancer Awareness programs, Beyond The Shock family and expressive therapy groups, or any mindfulness-based cognitive therapy focused on helping people deal with the disease.

These limited edition PINK versions of Life’s Onion are available for shipping now! Place your order today.
