HOW TO VIEW AND ATTACH DOCUMENTS ON WEBSS ON SAGE 300 PEOPLE

Employees can view and attach document on ESS, this can be used for informing employee about company process and prove for ESS transactions.

Resolution:

 On the Navigation pane:

Expand      Self Service

Expand     Setup                                                                                          

Double-click on   Process Definition

 

This button allows the user to attach a document to the process.  When the applicant starts the process, a message will appear to notify the applicant that there is content available for viewing.  Select the applicable process definition to attach the required Content.

Employee and approvers can also attach a document during a transaction. The Content Level field indicates on which level the content will be available, i.e. who gets to view the attached document associated with the workflow process.

Step

This option indicates that every step approver (from the first approver) will be able to attach content (documents) in ESS.  The content attached will be visible to all approvers on the same step (part of the same Approver Group), but the next step approvers will not be able to view previous step approvers content.  The applicant will not be able to attach content.

Process

This option indicates that the applicant as well as all step approvers will be able to attach content (documents) in ESS, and the content attached by the applicant as well as all step approvers will be visible throughout the process to all approvers.

None

This option indicates that no content will be available on any step.


The attachment button on the Step Definition allows for a document to be attached to the selected step.  The document can be viewed by the approvers linked to the step.  The document is not attached to the workflow process and will not travel along the approval path.
