Have you heard of the Footwear Friends charity?

As someone involved in the footwear industry, I’d hope you have, but if not, please let me tell you a little bit about the charity and what it does.

Footwear Friends is a charity specifically established to support members and ex-members of the footwear industry who require some assistance or who have fallen on hard times.

Our charitable donations range from help with the cost of basic bills such as gas and electricity through to more substantial donations depending on the needs of the recipient.

Our donations are only made to people in real need and are always carefully considered by the charity.  With donations ranging from less than £100 upwards, the level of desperation felt by some recipients is clear.

As someone involved in the footwear industry, we would like to appeal to you to make a donation to Footwear Friends, safe in the knowledge that you are helping to support a shoe industry colleague in need of help.

Donations can be as big or as small as you like, but if 100 of us pledged just £5 we would be able to make a real difference to people in need.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you would like to donate you can do this at https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/charity-web/charity/finalCharityHomepage.action?charityId=1002447
