As a news station, we have the opportunity to interview some famous folks when they come to town. And one of our favorite things to do, as "The Education Station," is to steer some of these great guests over to our adopted school, Harvey Rice Wraparound School in Cleveland's Buckeye neighborhood. And that's how it happened that a Harlem Globetrotter popped over to Harvey Rice last week, to meet and inspire the kids. #community #3Cares #EducationStation

We don't do it for awards but still -- getting recognized for our station's community service is a lovely way to end the year. WKYC Studios received a Medical Mutual Pillar Award for Community Service recently from Smart Business magazine. The award recognizes the impact of our "Education Station" campaign, which has mobilized dozens of our employees to get involved to make a difference.
