In the latest Giving USA report, giving to education saw a robust growth of 11.1% (6.7% adjusted for inflation), reclaiming its second-place spot. 🍎 During the 2023-2024 academic year: ➜ Median funds received rose by 5.9% to $1.51 million. ➜ Donor numbers increased by 2.5% to 570 donors. ➜ Continued investment in operations, endowment, and capital growth. Giving USA 2024 numbers are in, and they're not painting a pretty picture for the philanthropic sector. Despite a booming economy and record-high stock market gains, charitable giving took a nosedive in 2023. Here are the hard facts: 📉 Giving fell by 2.1%, despite a booming economy. 📉 Donor numbers dropped across the board, from everyday givers to mega-donors. 📉 Individual giving as a share of disposable income hit a near all-time low at 1.9%.
