🌐 Strategic Communications: The Key to Countering Disinformation 🌐 Efficient, timely, and inclusive communications are the bedrock of countering disinformation. When we communicate effectively, there's little room for false narratives to thrive. The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security(CSCIS) organized this training for communications specialists of executive authorities in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with the support of UNDP Ukraine and Japan - The Government of Japan. The training, which took place from 14th to 16th November, covered a range of crucial topics including: 🔹 Components of strategic communications 🔹 Skills for preparing effective refutations and tools to counter disinformation 🔹 Development of communication plans and strategies 🔹 Identification of crises and crisis response strategies, including crisis communications Experts from CSCIS tailored the training to address the specific communication needs and challenges faced in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, ensuring its practicality and relevance for participants. At the heart of this initiative is the unwavering support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, with funding provided by the Government of Japan. This partnership underscores the commitment to strengthening countering disinformation capacity and strategic communications at all levels of the Ukrainian government. A three-day training on countering disinformation for communications specialists of public authorities was held in Dnipro.    The Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security (CSCIS) conducted strategic communications and countering disinformation training for communications specialists of executive authorities in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The training took place in Dnipro on 14 -16 November, and covered the following topics: 🔸 components of strategic communications;  🔸 skills for preparing effective refutations and other tools to counter disinformation;  🔸 development of communication plans and strategies;  🔸 identification of crises and crisis response strategies, including crisis communications. CSCIS experts, together with the training organizers, considered the local peculiarities of communications in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to make the training as practical and useful as possible for participants. Now, they will be able to use the acquired knowledge to develop communication plans and response strategies for potential crisis situations in their work. The series of trainings was conducted with the support from UNDP in Ukraine and funding from Japan - The Government of Japan
