🌟 Proud to share a significant milestone for media literacy in Ukraine!🌟              Over the past year, I've had the privilege of working alongside incredible partners at UNDP Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, Filter National Media Literacy Project and with support from Japan - The Government of Japan, to shape the Strategy on Media Literacy Development of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine until 2026. This journey started in June 2023 and has involved a collaborative effort from experts across civil society, international organizations, government bodies, and the media. Together, we've built a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen media literacy, promote responsible media consumption, and enhance critical thinking in Ukraine. The strategy outlines the key issues and challenges affecting media literacy development in Ukraine, highlights the competencies a media-literate person should possess, analyses the state of media literacy in the country, and sets strategic goals for the coming years. It also, which is very important, defines key implementation principles and target audiences, ensuring we have clear indicators to measure our progress. Special thanks to Acting Minister Rostyslav Karandeev for his leadership, Deputy Minister Taras Shevchenko for supporting every step of this complex task and making it happen, Ganna Krasnostup, National Media Literacy Project Filter, and Olha Kravchenko for providing expertise in developing the project and all the dedicated stakeholders who contributed to this vital strategy. Christophoros Politis, UNDP’s Deputy Resident Representative, summed it up perfectly: "Media literacy is key to a democratic society, helping citizens make informed decisions and resist disinformation." I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved together and look forward to working together to promote responsible media consumption and enhance critical thinking among Ukrainians!  🌍📚 Tetiana Dudnik Nazar Grom Olena Ursu Anastasiia Korobai Volodymyr Kebalo Khrystyna Biliakovska Naoki Nihei Yuliia Samus          Check out the strategy here https://lnkd.in/epQPadHm

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and Filter presented the Strategy of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine for Media Literacy Development until 2026, which was developed with the support of UNDP in Ukraine and funding from Japan - The Government of Japan 🇯🇵🇺🇦  The strategy is intended to guide the efforts of all stakeholders working to enhance media literacy in the country in a unified direction. It serves as a roadmap and conceptual framework for the coming years to: 🔷 strengthen Ukrainian society's resilience to disinformation;  🔷 promote responsible media consumption;  🔷 enhance critical thinking and well-being among Ukrainians through informed decision-making.    The strategy has been developed with the involvement of experts from the civil sector, international organizations, government bodies, and the media. Thus, this collaborative effort ensured the strategy reflects a broad consensus.    Explore more via the link: https://lnkd.in/enDRCrJV Photo credit: Vladyslav Bulgakov / UNDP in Ukraine
