Excited to be at the Caribbean Urban forum to share insights on the Barbados National Physical Development Plan!

The strength of our work lies in our collaborators. We are heartened to share that the Downsview Framework Plan, a joint effort between ourselves, Canada Lands Company, has received the 2024 AZURE Media People's Choice Award for Urban Design Unbuilt Developments. This recognition is a testament to the power of collaboration and shared vision. Working hand-in-hand with our exceptional partners, we have collectively envisioned the area’s lands as a future community that will support over 80,000 residents, generate more than 40,000 jobs, and feature 100 acres of vibrant new parkland. Built upon years of engagement, our collective vision will turn these largely vacant lands into a global model for sustainable urban development, focusing on low-carbon density, active mobility, and nature-based stormwater management systems. Have you ever found yourself being introduced to the insights on how a massive urban city project such as The Well came about, and hear all about the infrastructure, the sustainable concept, the visions of the creators while actually being there? Holland House Canada and her members want to thoroughly thank BDP Quadrangle's Jan Schotte and Dhruv Soni for not only opening their offices but also explaining all of the work that went on behind closed doors when designing The Well in downtown Toronto.  Dennis Lago of Urban Strategies Inc.; words fall short on the amazing presentation and insights you gave us last Wednesday. Thank you so much!  The enthusiasm in our group of lucky members was tangible. As it should. This project deserves all the praise! After being awestruck by the tour, we all gathered in the very hospitable restaurant Bridgette which created a perfect setting for networking for our members.
