Psychological violence (such as manipulation) without physical violence can be just as devastating and is so silent to the outside world . While it forms part of many corporate codes of conducts and ethics at the workplace with whistleblowing policies and mechanisms, it is completely left out of policies and regulation when occurring in the private spfere. It is everybody’s business to adress this too and stop ignoring the impunity that protects abusers.

It is very easy for these things to happen to anyone. We have to be so careful and be vigilant so we don't miss the early warning signs. However, when persons are in it, they really need to not be blinded by love and they should work to get out and get help. I think another mistake persons make is that they believe they can change the person. However, unless there is mutual consent with the other person to seek help and make changes, many set themselves up for futher pain.🙏🙏

We must stop violence against ourselves - then it will stop for all. People who do not love themselves cannot love another - they do not treat themselves caring and lovingly - how can they do it for others? Yes, it is our "business". let us learn to recognize it when it is happening on any level, and step up in love with it and not turn away.

There are so many ways that women are disempowered— I appreciate reminders that violence against women often take subtle forms that may not fit into narrow definitions of violence. There are many parallels here with racial violence, obviously. —Thanks for the work you do on behalf of women everywhere. None of us are free as long as some are oppressed.
