Happy Children's Day!🇳🇬 A day to honor the boundless potential and joy that children bring into our lives. As we commemorate this special day, let's remember that our role in their development is crucial. Children are our future leaders, innovators, and changemakers. To truly nurture tomorrow's leaders, we must be intentional today: 1. Provide Unwavering Support: Every child deserves love, encouragement, and access to quality education and resources. 2. Foster Empathy and Respect: Teach and model kindness, inclusivity, and understanding. 3. Encourage Curiosity and Creativity: Inspire them to ask questions, explore passions, and think outside the box. 4. Build Resilience: Equip them with skills to face challenges with strength and grace. On this Children's Day, let’s recommit to being mentors and supporters. The future is in their hands, and with our guidance, it will be a bright one. Nurture our children intentionally, for they are the architects of a better tomorrow. Every 27th of May, we celebrate Children's Day in Nigeria. #ChildrensDay #Nigeria #FutureLeaders #Education #SupportOurChildren

Herbert Wigwe, C.F.R It’s always very easy to call a man a successful businessperson when he is seen to be or assumed to be wealthy. However, wealth or success doesn’t quite tell the story about Mr., my apologies, Dr. Herbert Wigwe. I first met him over two decades ago when Access Bank Plc was born. I met him on the stair case as he walked to his office and I engaged him. I am a vendor of the bank and he looked at me and said to me, stay with us Goldfire. You will one day be glad you did. In those days at Oyin Jolayemi street in Victoria Island, you will always run into him or the then MD/CEO, Aig Aigboje Imokhuede on the stair case. The bank and the brand wasn’t the colossus it is now but the power, the energy and the vision was always there. What will strike you is the easy, unassuming but very focused stance of the man called Herbert. We modeled our business after the Access Bank Plc business model that we coined as “EXCELLENCE IN ALL THINGS GREAT & SMALL”. For those who are just starting to see, appreciate and understand the Access brand, what you are seeing today is the toil, the grind, the pain, the sacrifices, the leadership, the power of visioning and the energy of those who bought into the vision and practically “carried” the brand to where it is now. I must salute the succession planning and the dedication to grow leadership qualities within the bank. I must say this. Access Bank Plc remains for me a very forthright brand that continuously projects brand quality, brand character and brand integrity. Indeed hard and smart work pays. So, when next you see Dr. Herbert Wigwe, take your time to really see a quintessential man who has braved the odds, taken the Access Bank Plc to new heights and indeed represents the new leadership of business enterprise that potentially will make Nigerians recognizable anywhere in the world. Salud Dr. Herbert Wigwe.
As our Founder, Dr. Herbert Wigwe, C.F.R stated during his keynote address at the Wharton Conference, nothing unites Africans better than education and youth empowerment—two of HOW Foundation's core tenets. Hence, the birth of Wigwe University —a beacon of innovation, empowerment, and inclusivity in education. Our core mission is to raise responsible leaders that can alter the direction of Nigeria & Africa. The establishment of Wigwe University is our bold stride towards achieving that goal. Workshop Experience Part 1 It's very vital that high school students are brought to the full awareness of the United Nations efforts to combat social-ecomonic and environmental challenges confronting our progress. We all know that these challenges are all embedded as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It's in the light of this fate, that i took these SDGs awareness to Christ High School Abuja-Lafia High Way with my team. We encountered more than 100 students as participants. We wish to catch them young, refine their minds about the local and global world, include them and prepare them on how to bridge these gaps with any resources at their disposal. If an average child of 6 years can steal or bear false witness, then, we believe that every child and High School student is not too young to be told what good he/she needs to do right away to support this United Nations campaign against destructions. As a founder of Shakers Community ™, a leadership forum Initiative, an SDG Advocate and Global Youth Ambassador, making an impact makes me live happier. This is my call not to extinguish Quality Education, Innovation and Transformative Leadership in Africa. I always stand for a good course. I'm in a position to do greater exploits in the global world if I'm privileged going forward. Watch the testimonials from these young minds after the workshop. As I am preparing this month's prayer letter, I reflected on the one I wrote at the start of the year (Attached below). Words cannot express how grateful I am to work with the brilliant young minds of fresh graduates and those in campus. If you want to shape the nation, shape the young people—the average age of people in Africa is 19 years. Therefore, if we want to change the continent and even the globe, we need to invest in young people. I am truly happy and grateful to God for the chance to work with FOCUS Kenya, whose primary goal is to reach out to the youth with values and ethics in a country and continent so affected by corruption. FOCUS Kenya operates from a gospel-centered perspective. On average, it takes as little as 200 Ksh to reach a single student in a month. As the largest student movement in the world, the organization collaborates with over 240 Christian unions, impacting more than 64,000 Christian students. This is a significant mandate in shaping the young generation. You might be asking, "What can I do to ensure we reach as many students as possible and equip them at such a young age?" You can choose to partner with us at FOCUS Kenya. Visit our website (https://www.focuskenya.org)and social media platforms to explore the various support options—whether it's leadership development, the Student Training Facility (Hatua), missions, discipleship, or mentorship. Whichever cause you choose to support, your contribution will make a difference. You can also directly support us through our paybill number 412412. Use the account number to indicate the program you would like to support, or refer to my details on the prayer letter. Thank you, and God bless. Together, let's reach students and change nations. #reachingstudentschangingnations #valuebasedleaders #ethicalstaff #change #transformation #youngminds

The UN predicts that by 2030 over a third of the worlds under 25’s will live in Africa. That’s an estimated 733 million children and young people who, equipped with the right skills, could become the future doctors, teachers, business leaders, writers and more. These young Africans have the potential to contribute significantly to the global economy and step into leadership roles. However, there is a real risk that millions will not unlock their potential and be able to lift themselves out of the cycle of poverty, because they lack access to books and quality education. But together, we can provide the books they need. Find out all about our new Generation Reader campaign, which aims to help 10 million young people fulfil their dreams and unlock their potential, at https://lnkd.in/eg6h2MU8.
