Tom Corbett’s Post

Connecting people: I don't know (all) the answers, but I may know the people who just might.

Visiting longtime INMA member and former volunteer Harold Grönke in Oldenburg. Harold briefly sat on the International Board of the International News Media Association (INMA) before moving up to the European Board; which he even lead as our European President. But his most memorable act as volunteer was putting Earl Wilkinson on that train journey through Germany. Visiting media companies. We had just a handful of members in the country back then. Little did he know he would start a revolution that lead to today; where INMA’s membership has spread across 80% of media companies. (Actually he might have known, he’s a pretty smart guy!). Today he left the media business (smart again?🤪) and started his own carwash. Mostly to clean his own collection; but he lets the neighbourhood use it too; provided they buy a subscription of course… a leftover trick he learned during his INMA days? Thanks for washing my 🏍️ bike, Harold. (And for what you did for INMA).
