As I prepare for my departure from Inospace later this month, I have spent the last couple of days writing personal cards to every dynamic and incredible team member that I have had the honor of working with over the last seven years. Each card that I have written has allowed me to reflect on the incredible successes we have achieved, but most importantly, to reflect on the incredible growth that so many team members have experienced and I have been able to witness. For those who have worked with me, they would know that seeing my team members grow and develop is a priority for me. It has always been my belief, that as managers, it is our job to not only guide but also to ensure that those within one's reporting lines grow and continue to learn and develop their skills. If not, we are failing them as a managers. My biggest win is that over the years, I have been able to get to know each and everyone of my team members on a personal and professional level. While some believe that personal issues should not be brought to the work place, who ever believes in such is living in the 1900’s. You cannot sperate two of ones biggest functions being, life and work, as they definitely effect each other. In order to assist and grow your team as a manager, you need to know what that team member is going through, as that will define how you need to handle and grow that individual. To know that my team has achieved and will continue to achieve in the future, is one of the greatest legacies that I could have wished for. Whatever my next adventure is, it will remain my mission to ensure that those around me continue to grow and better themselves. In life, you might begin in a low-skilled position, but that does not mean you need to be in a low-skilled position for the rest of your life. With drive and the right attitude, coupled with the right manager leading you through training, you enable that person to grow – as I write these cards, they are living proof of this. These incredible life changing moments for my team, will remain with my as part of my Inospace memories.

It was my first day in my new role. I was excited to meet the team, but hardly anyone spoke to me. I'm not sure if I made the right decision joining this team! Sighed my talent, as we started our conversation. Minutes later we explored her ability to influence in an unchartered space and focused on the controllable. Here are the questions that helped her find a direction. 🎉 Celebrating my 24th birthday this week! Until recently age was something I avoided discussing, afraid that it would downplay my years of experience but after joining the corporate world days after turning 16, I'm also celebrating 8 years in corporate retail. Since joining the team at Quadmark I have come to appreciate the insight and experience I have gained by starting when I did and wanted to share some of my biggest lessons so far: Diverse Mentors: Valuable lessons often come from unexpected sources.
