I'm thrilled to announce that I've joined Anthropic as their Chief Product Officer! The team at Anthropic is exceptional, and I felt at home from my first conversations with them. Daniela, Dario, Jared and the team embody the combination of deep talent, high empathy, and pragmatism that I loved about the Instagram and Artifact teams I’ve had the fortune to work with. Anthropic's research continues to be at the forefront of AI. When paired with thoughtful product development, I tons of potential to positively impact how people and companies get their work done. And as a two time entrepreneur, I'm particularly excited by how Claude, along with the right scaffolding and product features, can empower more people to innovate at a faster pace and at a lower cost. We’re introducing a Team plan for Claude with more usage for teammates, tools for managing users and billing, and our standard 200K context window for complex tasks — enabling businesses to achieve new levels of productivity and drive better results. In the coming weeks, we’ll be releasing collaboration features including citations from reliable sources to verify AI-generated claims, as well as integrations with data repositories like codebases and CRMs — all while maintaining the highest standards of security and safety. The Vanderbilt University 2024 Summit on Modern Conflict and Emerging Threats is a wrap! Last week we hosted 400 thought leaders for an intensive two day deep dive on China. Opened by National Security Agency/U.S. Cyber Command General Tim Haugh and closed by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Chris Wray --- we explored issues ranging from #cybersecurity to the complexities of our intertwined supply chains. During the summit, our panels and presenters explored everything from addiction to socioeconomics. Drug Enforcement Administration Administrator Anne Milgram outlined the impact of Fentanyl in an impactful keynote. Central Intelligence Agency AD Sheetal Patel helped us understand the mission and focus of T2MC. Events like this help foster partnerships and allow for deep dives into the critical issues that shape today and tomorrow. Academia has a clear and important role in researching and partnering to solve our most wicked problems. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
