New SUEZ Research & Development centre in China! On 9 July, SUEZ inaugurated a new R&D centre in Beijing with guests from the Beijing Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park Management Committee and the French Embassy in China. Honoured as “Beijing Foreign-funded Research and Development Centre” and “Postdoctoral Research Workstation”, the Beijing R&D Centre has three advanced laboratories, each equipped with state-of-the-art process verification and analysis platforms. These facilities enable us to verify and optimise drinking water treatment technologies, explore cost-effective wastewater treatment technologies, and evaluate sludge properties and treatability. We are committed to sharing our technological innovations with our local partners. Together, we tailor solutions to meet the unique needs of individual markets and support China's environmental transition. Francois Fevrier Jun Zhang Bruno Barillon Delphine Steinmann

Another partnership announcement after the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW)! SUEZ is thrilled to announce the expansion of our existing Global Framework Agreement with Bucher Unipektin AG by entering into an exclusive distribution agreement to bring their advanced sludge dewatering technologies to Hong Kong! With 40 years of presence in Hong Kong, we are pleased to introduce Bucher's state-of-the-art hydraulic filter presses in the city where innovation thrives, building on the success of our 2019 first pilot project. This technology achieves over 30% dry solids content in a compact, safe, and energy efficient manner, meeting the stringent compliance standards of our Hong Kong customers. Thank you Bucher Unipektin AG for your trust. Together, we are committed to driving innovation and environmental change in Hong Kong and beyond. #biosolids Germinal Bertrand, Jean-François Mischler

We contribute to the sustainable development of communities wherever we operate. This means, for example, promoting access to essential services. In Manila metropolitan area, Philippines, we are supporting rapid population growth by providing access to potable water with 4 lines of Decentralised Compact Units, also known as UCDs®. These compact, modular solutions can be deployed much faster than a traditional drinking water production plant to meet urgent needs💧. The goal? To produce up to 80,000 m3 of water per day, for 900,000 people Stay tuned for more #SUEZSustainableStories! 🌿

Announcing 3 new strategic water partnerships across Asia! Our CEO Sabrina Soussan was at the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) where we were pleased to announce 3 new projects in Asia, focusing on digital solutions, seawater desalination, and water reuse. 1️⃣ In collaboration with PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, we will deploy and maintain a Smart Water Grid Analytics Platform to enhance the operational efficiency and resilience of PUB’s water network. 2️⃣ In the Philippines, we are partnering with Metro Pacific Water in a consortium with J.E. Manalo & Co., Inc., a premier construction company, to design, build and operate a large-scale seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant in Metro Iloilo to address the region's critical drinking water shortage. 3️⃣ In China, SUEZ and Shandong Public have teamed up again to build and operate a wastewater treatment plant at the Jining New Materials Industrial Park in Shandong Province. The plant will supply the park with reusable industrial water aiming to achieve 100% wastewater recycling. These strategic partnerships and innovative solutions showcase our commitment to supporting both municipal and industrial clients across the region in addressing critical water issues. 💧 #Desalination #IndustrialWater #SIWW2024

Climate change and extreme hydrological events are affecting Tawain's water supply. Together with CTCI and Hung Hua, SUEZ has just won a new contract for Taiwan's large urban seawater desalination plant which will benefit around 1.6 million people and the semiconductor manufacturing industry in Hsinchu. Designed to produce 100,000 m3 of quality drinking water per day, the Hsinchu seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant will increase the stability of the water supply and alleviate water scarcity. This contract, awarded by the Taiwan Water Resources Authority, demonstrates SUEZ's expertise and strength in water management and its commitment to preserving water resources. #Taiwan #desalination
