What an amazing panel on VC investments during the bear 🐻🤩 Kudos to Anna Shakola for moderating and Paul Hsu from Decasonic, Vineet Budki from Cypher Capital Group , Wenji (Tony) Cheng from Foresight Ventures and Yuki Yuminaga from Fenbushi Capital 🙌 key takeaways from the panel: 1. Bear market is what makes real VC’s - best time to invest. 2. As a founder, focus on building product and relationships. 3. In case to pass initial selection, you need to be exceptional in at least one from the list: Narrarive, Product-market fit, Execution. 4. Typical period VC’s are keen to hold tokens (declarative) in web3 projects is 4-5 years but it varies depending on the source of capital. 5. VC’s by far prefer to talk face-to-face as it gives them better understanding of the founders and its vision = travel to conferences. Don’t reach out on socials unless you are introduced by someone (waste of time). 6. Next cycle will be about building user adoption. 7. When asked about their fav investment in recent years, all mentioned infrastructure projects ;) 8. Intersectingly the room was half-empty, Vineet Budki summarized it with confidence: “Next conference during bull market, this room will be crowded” 🤣
