India, through the Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank), is supporting the installation of a Solar PhotoVoltaic Power Plant at Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Guyana with a USD 2.5 million Line of Credit (LoC). California continues to lead the way in renewable energy! The State of California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has approved five major clean energy projects submitted by Southern California Edison (SCE). These include three solar power projects totaling 525 MWac and two geothermal projects from Fervo Energy, which represent the largest geothermal power purchase agreements globally. The solar projects, owned by 174 Power Global LLC, will be coupled with energy storage and have an AC capacity factor of just over 36%. In contrast, the geothermal facilities boast a capacity factor of over 82%, significantly enhancing energy reliability. These initiatives are crucial for meeting California's mid-term reliability goals of 3.8 GW by 2036 and reducing emissions to 25 million metric tons of CO2e by 2035.
