Randy Cooper and Umar Waheed from Southwest Kidney Institute (SKI) were among the first in the U.S. to trial the Ellipsys® Vascular Access System for arteriovenous fistula (AVF) creation, helping to revolutionize care for dialysis patients. In addition, SKI and Panoramic Health’s Ambulatory Surgery Center in Tuscon, AZ was the first center in the United States to offer the Ellipsys System following its FDA approval in 2018.
