Reaching out to my network to share that I am #opentowork. After navigating health challenges over the past few years, I reached a point of self reflection that made me realize I was very ready to welcome new professional experiences in my life. After nearly 20 years in sales in the manufacturing space (and a refreshing break filled with quality time with my family) I am eager to discover what is next for me on my professional journey. As a sales professional, my strongest skill set and passion comes through building valuable customer relationships and delivering excellent customer service. Especially after navigating health challenges myself, it really hits home that even in the realm of business, we are all people with real challenges in our day to day. What's important to you when looking for your next role? A couple of people have asked me that recently and I had a few things to say. ☑ The people I work with I have found that I can work in roles where I'm getting yelled at by a customer when I work with really cool people who make me look forward to my Monday's. ☑ Diverse makeup of teams If you say you care about DEI and your leadership team does not reflect that, I wonder at what point you truly care about DEI. ☑ A mission/vision and brand that I could proudly represent My integrity is most important and if I work for companies doing things that feel inauthentic to me, I can't stick around for that. I am currently looking for my next role in Customer Success, Training, or Customer Support Leadership and today I had an interview for a Corporate Trainer role and loved my conversation for these reasons: ▪ He wanted to make sure it was a right fit for me as much as I'm a right fit for them ▪ It wasn't cold/rigid, it was a casual introduction to test for culture fit ▪ We had a good back and forth and laughed, easily connecting ▪ He shared how 96% of their workforce is women and that includes representation in leadership ▪ They have hired individuals like military spouses and recognize talents and abilities can come from outside of traditional tech Take it from Patrick Lencioni in The Ideal Team Player, where the main things you need is someone who is hungry, humble, and smart. I'm on the journey and looking forward to where I land.
