After an exhausting week, finally sharing some of my favorite shots from Sesame Workshop's annual gala last Wednesday. With enormous thanks to all those who made the event such a huge success- from Oprah, Shonda Rhimes, Leslie Odom Jr, Andra Day, John Oliver, PNC to the entire Sesame team and the talented Sesame Street cast and crew! And so happy to have David and Lily there with me - David has not missed a single gala in 21 years! I am so grateful to Oprah for presenting the Joan Ganz Cooney Award to the amazing Shonda Rhimes, who could not have been more eloquent on the impact Sesame Street had on her growing up as both a window and a mirror, which she now makes sure are a part of every show she writes. "Now more than ever, we need every child to know how to get to Sesame Street". I am so grateful to lead this incredible organization at this moment in time - when the need for our work has never been greater. #SesameGala
