Prepping for our CAL FIRE Forest Health Grant media & legislative tour next week. We are hosting a legislative and media tour for the 𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁. The tour will highlight how this CAL FIRE funded collaborative project is making our forest ecosystems healthier while reducing risk of catastrophic wildfire to the environment and our community. CAL FIRE has awarded two Forest Health Grants to the Santa Clara County FireSafe Council to manage, for a total of $14 million. CAL FIRE seeks to significantly increase fuels management, fire reintroduction, treatment of degraded areas, and conservation of forest through the grant program.
