I am thrilled to share this article about the work we've been up to at Global Nomads, bringing youth from around the world together to collaborate on designing curricula with vital content. Over many years I've worked on curricular design with and for adults, but to observe and support a diverse group of global youth using those same design approaches, improved for rigorous attention to accessibility and belonging, and reflective of their deep understanding of themselves and their peers as learners, has been one of the joys of my career. Pilot educators have given us nothing but excitement about their experiences, noting that this curriculum is engaging students who do not typically engage. Hats off to all of our youth designers. The way you all work together and the ways you are getting your California-based peers to work together in this curriculum give me hope that we will indeed be less polarized, as well as better informed, about climate change and other urgent issues of global concern. https://lnkd.in/enTNK3tN
