Roger Martella’s Post

Group Vice President; Chief Sustainability Officer; Global Head of Engagement, Government Affairs, and Policy at GE Vernova | Servant Leader

As GE has advanced its sustainability and public engagement journey over the years, no one made more of an impact in explaining to the outside world what we are doing to address sustainability than Jeff Caywood. He has been an unparalleled partner of strategy, communications, and relationships to multiply our efforts for the biggest impact and stakeholder collaboration. Along the way, he’s always set the bar for humility, service to others, partnership, and putting the team first. After 25 years, his legacy will move forward in how GE Aerospace and GE Vernova will continue to lead for sustainability, building on the foundation that Jeff created on day one. I try not to take it personally that after 25 years at GE, Jeff’s last role was working with me!  But on a personal note, today will be a little tougher for me without Jeff’s tireless optimism and support as a professional and friend.  I share with him the deepest appreciation and admiration and look forward to seeing the impact he will continue to drive in the future.

Thank you, Roger, for your kind words, and more importantly, for your tireless commitment to drive sustainability forward for GE and setting up the three standalone companies for success. I’ve always valued your enthusiasm to try new things and always-say-yes attitude, even with some of my crazier ideas! I will be cheering for you and the GE Vernova and GE Aerospace teams and know our paths will cross again in the future!

Great Sir - Really #GEV behaves as a scientist going through several experiments in order to arrive at real fact...
