Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers’ Post

We are proud to recognize Becca Mudd, RN at our Aurora clinic, for being a 2023 DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses nominee! A patient of Becca's nominated her for this award last year for distinguished care. Here is what the patient had to say about her: "Becca was my first nurse at RMCC, and she immediately made me feel calm. She is super competent, frequently stepping in to help other nurses who are learning or less experienced. During the eight four-hour chemo treatments I've had, I have seen Becca interact with patients who are expressing various emotions. She always responds with calming words and kindness, as well as having a great sense of humor. She is interested in hearing about patients' lives, while still being attentive to her nursing responsibilities. She answers questions well and is careful to observe safety protocols. Her smile is reassuring and she shows complete confidence when doing her work. I'm always so happy when she's in the room, even when she's not assigned to care for me. When she sees me in the building, she remembers me and calls me my nickname."
