Excited to announce (* 4 months late 😅) that I have passed my PhD defense! Crossing this finish line would not be possible without the support and collaboration of many colleagues and mentors, and also without Faisal Mahmood!
With Faisal Mahmood, Guillaume Jaume, Andrew H. Song, Anurag Vaidya, Ming Yang (Max) Lu, Tong Ding, Bowen Chen, Drew Williamson (and the rest of the lab), I'm also excited to share our latest progress on building and evaluating pathology foundation models (from ROIs to the whole-slide) in Nature Medicine 2024 and CVPR 2024! The culmination of all of the work completed during my PhD 😎. The blog post below serves to summarize our progress, insights, and outlook of several research articles:
1. UNI, Nature Med 2024: https://rdcu.be/dBMgh
2. CONCH, Nature Med 2024: https://rdcu.be/dBMf6
3. Demographic Biases in CPath, Nature Med 2024: https://rdcu.be/dFdMS
4. TANGLE, CVPR 2024: https://lnkd.in/e9HCtEEw
5. PANTHER, CVPR 2024: https://lnkd.in/eEAcbvj7
At CVPR 2024, also check out our poster on multimodal integration between histopathology and transcriptomic pathways via SurvPath (https://lnkd.in/efvt4hDm), keynote at the Workshop on Foundation Models in Medical Vision (https://lnkd.in/e7sstATD), Demos for TriPath (https://lnkd.in/egkcNbjR) and PathChat, and several posters at the CV4Science workshops (https://lnkd.in/eimFBCyM). It would be awesome to finally start meeting many of the faces working on pathology foundation models (there are dozens of us).
