Radiometer's first foray into the industry was actually not in acute care diagnostics. Hint: the answer is in our name. Radiometer was founded in 1935 by two engineers in Denmark to develop measuring devices for the growing radio industry in Denmark. How did we move from the radio industry to the acute care diagnostics field? Take a guess in the comments below. Or else, discover our history here: https://lnkd.in/e7JQAcem We're proud to have pioneered the blood gas market in 1954 and continue to develop our extensive knowledge and experience in acute care diagnostics. #Radiometerat70

Ever wondered how much blood a premature baby has? Here's a fact that might surprise you: a premature baby's blood volume is roughly equal to an espresso cup at birth. This fact and what it means for clinicians in the NICU are just some of the many eye-opening insights our new commercial team members learned during their intensive training week at our Radiometer headquarters in Copenhagen. Our carefully tailored program goes beyond the global onboarding, ensuring our colleagues are equipped with the knowledge they need to understand the challenges clinicians face in their work and how our solutions can help. But it's not just about the facts – it's about the connections formed during this week. Our commercial teams are distributed globally, and this is a great opportunity for them to meet across the regions and set the foundation for a great collaboration. "We have one chance to ensure our new hires are set up for success, and to give them the opportunity to experience what it is truly like to be part of a global diagnostic company. To connect with new colleagues from across the globe and learn from each other and our global teams. Being a tiny part of each new hires journey is truly a privilege for me, for which I am personally beyond grateful for," Janine Kelly, Senior Training Manager, Sales. How has a good onboarding program/training session supported you in your career? Share below -- we love reading your stories. Are you looking for the next step in your career? Did you know that we use kaizens at Radiometer to build a more sustainable workplace? 🌱 In our journey to becoming a more sustainable, environmentally friendly workplace, we take a tool from the Danaher Business System toolbox that promotes continuous improvement: Kaizen. And what an improvement it is! Recently, two kaizens have set out to reduce waste at our Carlsbad, California and Stargard, Poland sites. Post-kaizen results show we’ve reduced at least 87 tons of waste (the equivalent of 43.5 average-sized cars!). And the journey is just starting. Stay tuned for more updates on how we drive our efforts to become a sustainable business. #lifeatradiometer #sustainabilityatradiometer

What does a Radiometer Sales Lead's journey of balancing parenthood and career look like? Juggling the demands of a career and family life can be a real challenge, but some individuals seem to have a knack for making it work. Dr. Neha Lopes Jadhav, a Zonal Sales Manager at Radiometer in Western India, is one such person. Her story is an inspiring example of how with the right mindset, support, and a bit of creative planning, it's possible to excel in both your professional and personal life. Joining Radiometer in November 2019, Neha quickly expanded her responsibilities and took on the challenge of leading the entire Western region of India in 2021. With a decade of experience in clinical support functions, she brings a wealth of expertise to the table. Balancing the demands of work and family life is no small thing, especially in a fast-paced field like sales. "Honestly, at times it becomes a great challenge to balance it out with business travel and the demanding nature of the job itself," she admits. "But I am blessed with an angel named Mom who comes to my rescue and tends my kids while I am away from home, I have an extremely understanding husband and that make my life calm." Her secret to success? Meticulous planning and a strong support system. "Career in sales comes with multiple challenges and to manage it well, the most important thing is planning your day/week/month well in advance," she shares. And when it comes to fostering a parent-friendly work environment, flexibility is paramount. "Flexibility at work is the core and having a supportive manager and colleagues is the lifeline." But what truly sets Neha apart is her ability to give 100% both at work and at home. "I love to start my work early and finish my work on time so that I can spend the rest of the evening with my family. When at work give 100% to work but when at home make sure you apply the same rule." As we strive to hire more talented female colleagues in Radiometer India's sales team, it's crucial to support and empower working parents. Neha has a message for women considering a career in sales or leadership: "Often, as women, we’re always multitasking and sometimes we get so engrossed in our daily routine that we miss the focus on growth and development. This is where, if the organization can help identify talent and shape it in the right direction, it will be a big benefit." At Radiometer, we're committed to creating a workplace that empowers and supports working parents like Neha. Join us in celebrating the everyday champions who make it all possible, and let's continue to foster a culture that enables them to thrive both personally and professionally.
