We are thrilled that Aditya Ghadiali has joined Quilt as a Staff Engineer, specializing in sensor systems and design. Aditya spent six years at Google where he led sensors integration in over five products from inception to mass production. Have you ever had to wave your hands to let a system know you’re there? It was a pleasure to welcome Tim Echols, Georgia’s Public Service Commissioner and an influential advocate for sustainable energy technologies, to tour the Quilt Home last month. Tim shares our belief that energy technologies like mini-splits can’t just be more efficient, they also need to make economic sense and improve homeowners' quality of life. Accent lighting, customizable panels, sleek and modern finishes: When building Quilt, we knew it had to be more than the most efficient heat pump on the market. It also had to be beautiful. We teamed up with the brilliant designers Mike & Maaike to make sure Quilt would elevate the aesthetics of the home rather than detract from them. A few weeks ago, we gathered in the first home to be fully outfitted with Quilt to announce our launch. Quilt is now available to reserve across the US and Canada. Our reimagined heat pump offers a comfortable, efficient home climate experience without relying on fossil fuels. It was extra special to celebrate Quilt’s launch with a group of people eager to contribute to our electric future. Tom Steyer helped us kick things off with a fireside chat, where we talked about climate optimism, alongside climate advocates like Andrew McAllister, Darcie L. H., and longtime supporters and friends of Quilt. It’s always refreshing to be reminded of the hope that exists in the climate space, and we’re proud to be a part of it.
