Our Lower Snake River Wind Facility just reached a big milestone – generating more than 10 million megawatt hours of energy since it went online in 2012. Every year, the facility generates on average enough electricity to serve about 70,000 homes. Several factors played a role in the wind facility achieving this stellar accomplishment; including having maintenance done when the wind isn’t blowing strong and replacing major components before a failure occurs to ensure the turbines are working in proper condition. This clean energy avoids about 300,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions per year. Learn more: http://ms.spr.ly/6046Yk5wk
