We continue to make progress toward meeting our clean energy targets through a new power purchase agreement with Clearway Energy, Inc. to receive more clean energy from a new wind farm they are building in Montana. This agreement will help us meet some of the nation’s most ambitious climate policies, while ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of energy to our customers. Once complete, the Haymaker wind farm is expected to provide power to about 116,000 homes in our service area. Read more here: http://ms.spr.ly/6047lkqQP

The return of the Baker Salmon sockeye means members of Upper Skagit Indian Tribe can participate in their traditional Tribal Harvest. The most recent harvest from July 8-10 saw about 25 boats in the water fishing for about 75-80 households. We appreciate our continued partnership with the Tribe. The recent magnitude of robust Sockeye returns are a testament to the number and quality of partnerships built in fish propagation and fish passage: http://ms.spr.ly/6049lzuE7

Our award-winning Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platform will play a critical role in helping us meet some of the most ambitious clean energy goals in the country, in partnership with our customers: http://ms.spr.ly/6044Y7bSs Since our launch last fall, we’ve engaged over 300,000 customers in programs to reduce or shift energy usage during periods of peak demand on the system. In addition to smart thermostats, we’ve introduced managed EV charging and will soon expand to other customer-owned devices like water heaters and batteries.

A big milestone in our Beaver Creek Wind Project as the first wind turbine has been fully assembled. Over the next few months, 87 more turbines will be erected in Stillwater County, Montana. The wind farm is the latest addition in a growing list of renewable energy resources PSE is acquiring as it works toward meeting Washington State’s Clean Energy Transformation Act (CETA) goals for 2025 and beyond. We're grateful for the warm reception from the local community and are excited to continue our longstanding Montana energy partnerships. Read more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/gH58UWUU
