NACCHO has released its new 2023 Immunization Profile Study report, a key resource for strengthening local public health. The survey assesses immunization capacity at local health departments (LHDs) nationwide, characterizing local activities to control vaccine-preventable diseases and identifying challenges and opportunities to strengthen LHD immunization programs. New PHF Pulse Blog: Community health workers are a critical part of the public health and health care workforce and play an important role in addressing health disparities. To increase access and reduce barriers to training, the New Mexico Department of Health Office of Community Health Workers (OCHW) developed competency-based training in English and Spanish that is available on the TRAIN Learning Network. PHF is excited to share and highlight our recent collaboration with CVS Health as part of the company’s effort to increase access to heart health and mental health care services for the people it serves. PHF worked with CVS Health to provide the foundation for quality improvement skill building and refining quality improvement projects. CVS Health’s health equity strategy focuses on providing culturally responsive services, addressing social determinants of health, supporting providers, and data-informed strategies. PHF is excited to support CVS Health in incorporating health equity into their quality improvement journey.

Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, in partnership with PHF, is hosting an introductory webinar on performance management called Performance Management Techniques for Successful Decision Making on June 25, from 3-4pm ET. The first of two in a series, the webinar will delve into the concepts and uses of a performance management system and the crucial role of developing meaningful goals, objectives, and measures to monitor program performance and success.
