Bringing durability and speed to De Soto Parish, Louisiana, Comstock Resources recently partnered with Patterson-UTI and our team to drill multiple 9.875" intermediate sections. On the first two drillouts on the three well pad, Comstock achieved remarkable ROP utilizing Ulterra's 9.875" XP616 and the Mitigator™. On the final drillout of the pad, Comstock raised the bar even higher, drilling 6,180 ft. at an average ROP of 189 ft/hr utilizing the newly improved 9.875" XP616. This run now holds the record for the fastest De Soto Parish drillout over 8,000 ft. and represents a 10% increase in ROP compared to the top 10 fastest drillouts (>8,000) in De Soto Parish.
