Have you ever heard, "It's a good thing but not a God thing" or "It's a good idea but not a God idea"? Would you believe that everything good is not from God? I know, I know...it sounds like a trick question, but I assure you it's not. The bible is clear, every good and perfect gift is from above (James 1:17). However, the Bible is also clear that God knows the plans HE has for YOU (Jer 29:11). As always there is a balance to scripture that requires understanding the context and time spent with the father to know exactly how that scripture applies to YOU and your circumstances. There are universal truths and laws, like the 10 commandments, that apply to all Christians, but there are also specific instructions that he gives you for the destiny he fashioned for you (Ex. Samson, John the Baptist, Samuel).God knows each one of His children intimately. He knows our thoughts and needs before they arise. He knows the purpose we were born to fulfill. Jeremiah 1:5 further anchors the truth that God’s plans for your life are specific and in place before you took form in your mother's womb to enter the world. God’s life path is not about you, but the lives you will impact by fulfilling the purpose He placed within you. So, while you have talents and abilities in particular areas, God’s purpose is what must be fulfilled. It’s good to be a lawyer, doctor, or teacher but if God designed you to be an architect, that is what will bring Him the most Glory and the most fulfillment in your life: That's God! Simply stated, everything that's good isn’t good for YOU! Live the God life. Blessings #iCANE #GoodvsGod #theGOODlife #theGODlife #Purpose

As a futurist and visionary, I would struggle with being present in the moment. I discovered that the root was pride. Story— Every white space on my calendar was seen as an opportunity to plan, be productive, forecast and analyze, qualities that are high yielding but when not under reigns, can be relationally costly. I've learned to deliberately set aside time to allow my gifts to go wild and free, but most importantly, once the smoke has settled down, to humbly “inquire” and “listen” and “wait” on God’s Presence. Biblical Connection— One of the most INCREDIBLE Bible stories are found in the book of Exodus where God calls Moses to set the Hebrews free from Pharoah’s oppression. Moses would always give God his uncompromising heart of trust and dependency on God— after all, Moses did see the Red Sea split and many unfathomable accounts of God’s omnipotence! On this journey of being a voice of God and an instrument of righteousness, Moses SAYS, at a critical point in his journey with God: “If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here.” —Exodus 33:15 After everything Moses saw and did, at no point did he count it as HIS OWN ABILITY. He humbly recognized it was ALL God. Learning Point— I know my gifts, my talents, my abilities and qualities but I too must carefully keep my heart at a humble posture of full reliance on God, for what good would it be to gain the whole world but lose your soul. Summary— ◽Be Present ◽Live the moment ◽Be dependent on Gods Presence #Jesus #GodsPresence #BePresent #humility

Be A Doer Of The Word Of God Take Action And Do What The Bible Says https://lnkd.in/gbF3jsnQ In a world filled with distractions and conflicting messages, it is crucial to be a doer of the Word of God. The Bible serves as your guidebook for life, providing you with wisdom and instructions on how you should live. It's not enough to simply read or listen to its teachings; true transformation occurs when you take action and apply these principles in your daily life. By being proactive in following what the Bible says, you align yourself with God's will and purpose. You become more than hearers of His Word; instead, you actively participate in His plan by putting into practice what He has revealed through scripture. The power lies within you to make positive changes that reflect biblical values. When faced with challenges or temptations, remember that faith without works is dead (James 2.17). Your actions are an outward expression of your inner beliefs - they demonstrate whether or not you truly trust in God's promises. Take courage! Let your actions speak louder than words alone. If you see someone who needs help or encouragement, don't hesitate but extend a helping hand – this embodies love thy neighbor as yourself (Mark 12.31). Show forgiveness towards those who have wronged you rather than holding onto grudges – this exemplifies forgiving others as Christ forgave you (Colossians 3.13). Let today be the day where taking action becomes second nature—a day where you actively pursue a life that reflects the teachings of your Creator. Don't be content with being a mere spectator, rather, embrace the challenge to become a true doer of God's Word. So go forth and live a life worthy of His calling (Ephesians 4.1). May your actions always reflect the love, grace, and truth found within God’s precious Word. PREACHER OF THE GOSPEL I PREACH JESUS AND A KINGDOM BUILDER MY DADDY SAYS THE HOLY SPIRIT IS MY FRIEND AND HELPER FOREVER, THE ROCK OF DEFENSE.
Everything that God does on the earth today, He does it by His Word and His Spirit. Everything God will do in your life cannot be outside these two. In Genesis 1, we see the two at work, during what is often called the work of creation. The Spirit of God first moved upon the surface of the deep, and then, God released His Word: let there be light. And there was light! The Word and the Spirit work hand-in-hand. Outside of His Word, there is nothing God will accomplish in your life. Therefore, your attitude to the Word of God will determine what God will accomplish in your life. Heb 11:3 says, “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible” (NKJV). If your life is going to be properly framed, the Word of God, and your attitude to it, will play a key role. How important is the Word of God to you? Does it mean anything to you? Do you consider it crucial to your living? When you hear the Word of God in church or hear the Word being preached on radio or television or you’re reading your Bible at home, what importance do you attach to it? These questions are very important because the answers you give, tells a lot about where you are in life today and the direction of your life. Your attitude to the Word of God also tells me a lot about your relationship with God. If you value God in your life, you’ll value His Word. God bless you.

Confidence. Sharing this Bible verse with you: Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16 ESV) How should we approach the Almighty God? Draw Near to the Throne of Grace. What kind of attitude should we have? With Confidence to draw near to the Throne of Grace, to the God of Grace. What do we hope to receive and find in our drawing near to God? We will certainly receive (without any doubt) the rich mercy of God and find the amazing grace of God to see us through our time(s) of need. Amen. Confidence.
