Happy day to everyone *except* people who say they “need a PR” when what they really mean is a “press release.” 🙄 PR = public relations. Not “press release.” We good? This is the way ✊ #PublicRelations #pressrelease

Valid point!
And we're not "a PR." A person can't be an adjective. Options include "a PR professional," "a PR specialist," "a person who practices PR" and so on.
Why use Abbreviations, Acronyms, and Initialisms at all? They are mostly industry specific and they serve to confuse or isolate people outside of your industry. Too many of these abominations are used in social media posts, brand building and advertising. Why? Want to reach a different audience? Want to expand? Don't isolate your audience.
Absolutely! It's so important to get the terminology right. Public relations is a broad field encompassing so much more than just press releases. Understanding the distinction can really elevate the effectiveness of communication strategies. Thanks for highlighting this! 🙌 #PublicRelations #CommunicationMatters

If they don't already know something, they can quickly find out it. I'm not sure why this is happening. 🤔🙄
