Happy Friday to everyone *except* corporate bosses still forcing employees to commute to the office 5 days per week. Not that sitting in a beige cubicle for 40 hours isn’t *fantastic for your physical and mental health*, but come on. 🙄 It’s 2024. Think outside the box 📦 This is the way ✊ #workflexibility #publicrelations
This is giving me PTSD. 🤣
These images bring back such horrific corporate memories! The team culture of stale environments, and a staff trying to always 'appear' busy vs being effective and productive.
I do not miss those days. On a related note, I don't think I own one pair of dress pants anymore. Jeans or sweats, all day, every day!

I had such a visceral negative reaction to this image in my feed 😬
Cubicles should only be used when you're expecting a phone call from Morpheus.
There are days I used to sit in my cubicle at work all by myself with no one to speak with. I could understand people meeting in person for department or section meetings bi weekly or once a month. But forcing people to the office for the sake of "collaboration" doesn't allow for inclusion or psychological safety. It's a power dynamic.
I was lucky enough to work almost 4 years from home however this new job isn't about that life... they are much more "brick and morter"
This image just made me itch- flash back😫 looks just like the one I busted out of years ago. Can you believe they wanted us in there managing 125+ cases, eight hours a day- 5 or however many days it took to get those those settled?

5dLook, I get it. You're paying a TON of money for office space. You have to justify the spend. I do believe that a flex environment is great. I do like in-office interactions with folks. It cuts down on emails and helps create internal relationships. I also find that when I'm remote, I find myself working longer, taking screen breaks and putting in a longer work day as I'm not having to deal with a commute back and forth to Boston. Plus, as PR people, we don't want the 9-5. We're in this because we like the sporadic nature of our work and a flex work flow helps keep (at least my) brain constantly on the go and not complacent/bored.
