VIP Software Hurricane Season Update 06/27/24 Nearly a month into the 2024 #hurricane-season, the Atlantic Basin is active. A Tropical Wave in the western Caribbean Sea is causing showers and thunderstorms as it moves west at 20 mph. Development in the northwestern Caribbean or southwestern Gulf of Mexico is possible, but it is unlikely to become a named storm. In the Eastern Tropical Atlantic, a Tropical Wave west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands is expected to develop into a Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm this weekend. Models suggest it could be the first Hurricane of 2024. Another Tropical Wave is emerging off the African Coast into the Main Development Region (MDR) of the Atlantic and will be monitored closely in the coming days. Stay updated with VIP Software for the latest 2024 hurricane season insights.

A low-pressure system about 1500 miles east-southeast of the Windward Islands is gradually organizing, with showers and thunderstorms indicating a likely formation of a Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm, named Beryl, by today or Saturday, expected to move westward at 15-20 mph towards the Lesser Antilles by the weekend. Meanwhile, another Tropical Wave, several hundred miles south-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands, is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms, with slow development possible next week as it moves westward at 15-20 mph, potentially entering the same region as the possible Beryl.

Things are becoming real. All eyes out to the Atlantic and Carribbean as waves of activity are taking place.
