As someone who's ALWAYS looking to challenge assumptions and rethink the norm... I’m actually a big advocate of the 5-day work week. The caveat? I don't think it matters if you work a 7-day or a 1-day week if you don’t have intention and productive engagement in your work. That's the part that counts - not the number of days. But 5 is great. We have a hump day on Wednesday. Friday afternoon is when you start to wrap up and get home early in the summer. I love Mondays as they set the tone for the rest of the week, and they give me momentum. Not to mention, many great things come in 5's: Jackson 5 🕺🏻 5 senses ✋ 5-second rule 👀 5 Olympic Rings 🏅 5 Backstreet Boys 🎤 So Greece is trying to bounce back economically by instituting 6 days. We’ll see how it goes - my guess is not well. But I have also read breathless reports on how people are MORE productive with 4-day work weeks. I’m sure some are... But in general? I scoff at that - though technology may change this in the future. So embrace the 5-day work week. And if you want it to be 4 for you personally - take the day off! And if you need to accomplish something and there is not enough time in the day? Work on the weekend. Point is, I definitely don’t think we ALL need to adopt a new way of working. If it ain't broke, don’t fix it!
