🌍 Delighted to share my experience from the enriching series of events at the #2024SpringMeetings in Washington, D.C., hosted by The World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This year, the meetings were graced by the presence of an influential crowd of parliamentarians, central bankers, finance and development ministers, and leaders from the private sector, academia, and civil society, whose contributions were invaluable in addressing pressing global issues. 🔍 At KPMG, our International Development Assistance Services (IDAS) practice hosted a pivotal event, "Advancing Just Transition: Impact Management for Investments in Emerging Markets." It was a moment of pride to moderate a panel with speakers like Elizabeth Boggs Davidsen, Maryanne Hancock, Jennifer Pryce, Jamie Fergusson, and Uma R. We delved into critical discussions about the role of finance in driving sustainable and equitable #transitions to a low-carbon economy, sparking inspiration and excitement for the progress ahead. 🌱 Key takeaways from our discussion include the urgent need for optimism in mobilizing investments at scale, the importance of equitable and just transition, and the innovative use of data and technology to measure impact.
