Outer Cape Health Services’ Post

PHARMACY WEEK October 15th – 21st DID YOU KNOW? ·        It was a pharmacist who invented Mascara. ·        The first commercial drug was mass-produced in 1883 thanks to the Industrial Revolution. ·        The first licensed Pharmacist in the U.S. was Louis Dufilho, of Louisiana. He not only sold modern day medication he catered to the local beliefs and sold items to practice Voodoo. ·        Anna Louise James was the first black woman to graduate from the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy in 1908 making her a pioneer in the pharmaceutical industry. OCHS would like to thank all the Pharmacists, Pharmacy Techs and everyone else contributing to the operations of a pharmacy. Providing patients with what can be life saving medication, doing it quickly, and with a smile on your face is appreciated by all.    #pharmacyweek #pharmacystrong #ochsprovincetownpharmacy #ochswellfleetpharmacy #ochsharwichportpharmacy
