The IDEAS Study is a US-wide longitudinal study providing the strongest Phase IV data supporting the clinical utility of amyloid PET scanning, which was designed to assess the impact of amyloid PET on patient outcomes in patients meeting appropriate use criteria for amyloid PET. IDEAS was sponsored and managed by the American College of Radiology and directed by the Alzheimer's Association®. Explore IDEAS clinical data in GAAIN: https://lnkd.in/g7jHZexB Request PET imaging data from USC Mark & Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute's Image & Data Archive: https://lnkd.in/grk_7GCh The first aim of IDEAS determined that amyloid PET was associated with a ≥30% change in composite patient management endpoint between the pre-PET and post-PET visit, separately in MCI and dementia subgroups (https://lnkd.in/gx8wvHGf). The second aim of IDEAS was to determine if amyloid PET is associated with a ≥10% reduction in 12-month CMS claims-derived hospital admissions and emergency department visits in study patients vs. controls (https://lnkd.in/g6P_T_fU).
