Support the Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School's 10th grade Farm Stand project outside the school entrance — open on May 23 and 24 from 3-4pm! In connection with #immersivelearning around food access with GrowNYC, students will be selling thousands of pounds of fresh, organic, and locally grown produce, including from the MELS Community Garden. All prices are suggested and no one will be turned away!

We were thrilled to host NYC Council Member Rita Joseph, Chair of the Committee on Education, at yesterday's final #CrewInitiative convening of the 2023-24 school year. Council Member Joseph listened in on presentations and spoke to the group of public schools educators who lead #Crew implementation at their schools across the city. THANK YOU for championing this work! “I am not a former educator, I am a forever educator,” said Council Member Joseph. “I sit and I listen to every single young person and educator who comes before me to tell me what their story is, and where I should be putting this budget.
