National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP)’s Post

Do you know teachers and school personnel can be considered as kinship homes for youth in foster care? Because you have a pre-existing relationship, you may be considered for a youth at your school who is needing a foster home. Additionally, in many states, you can become foster licensed to receive funds to support the youth in your care. Educators have the skills and qualities needed to be successful foster parents. Many foster parent trainings may also qualify for continuing education requirements. NYAP conducts convenient VIRTUAL foster parent trainings and will meet your unique scheduling needs. We are currently licensing foster homes in Ohio, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, West Virginia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Texas, and Nevada.
