Quite the little weekend. Father's Day, a wedding anniversary, and 40 mile ultramarathon trail run to put a cherry on top. 200 knuckleheads converged at Canaan Valley Resort State Park in West Virginia for the Highlands Sky 40 and it was unlike anything I've ever seen. It took me just under 11 hours to climb 5400 feet and drop 4800 feet over the 40.7 mile terrain that was very diverse and technical. The race winner came in under 6 hours! 🤯 This was one of the most challenging and rewarding accomplishments I've ever experienced and I am extremely appreciative for my onsite race crew (Erin), my in person and virtual training buddies (Michael, Kyle, Thad, Baxter, & Matt Wion), and my entire family for helping to watch our kids on my long training runs and over this past weekend. Interesting development. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is dropping coverage for GLP-1’s. Citing the fact that over half of patients stop taking them within 12 weeks. Not mentioned, the overall adherence rate for prescribed medicines in the US is about 50%. In March, BCBS Michigan reported its pharmaceutical costs increased by $1.8 billion in 2023, including a $350 million increase in GLP-1 drug costs. #employeebenefits #pharmacy #employers https://lnkd.in/ekWqqR6b
