HUGE PROPS to recruiters who keep you updated regularly, even without new information. Not all heroes wear capes 😎
As a past candidate in a gruelling market, it really helped my anxiety too, even if there wasn't any new news! Being ghosted and feeling like you are in limbo is the worst!
Jonathan D. Martinez is a fantastic example of a recruiter that goes above and beyond in this space. 🙌
I posted about the same thing this morning. I couldn't agree with you more.
Honestly one of the easiest things to do, but often the most overlooked action. No update, updates rock!
That can make a huge difference just managing their expectations.
You have no idea what difference that makes 💕 Great share Nicky Slavich
100%! If we as the customer are staying in contact with you, stay in contact with them.
💯 even a simple text “ hello xyz, I’m just letting you know I don’t have an update but haven’t forgotten about you” it takes 2 seconds but means the world to a candidate⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So funny this post. Because unfortunately, I can't seem to find a recruiter that will even respond, let alone keep me updated. Check out my latest experience.. I applied for a position with a company named AFNI over a week ago, maybe two weeks now. Last Thursday 5/30/2024 I was sent an email from a recruiter to choose an interview time from four different options. NONE of the options worked. Not a problem though, the email sent stated that if there were any issues or questions, respond to the email, or text (520) 214-6934. I did BOTH, multiple times. No response. I then called the recruitment offices directly. Over the course of Thursday and Friday, I called over 11 TIMES and never got an answer, nor a reply from the voicemail I left requesting assistance. This company AFNI is about thriving careers and opportunity, and yet I can't even get in touch with a single recruiter or actual person for that matter, when I'm the one that's supposed to be interviewing for an opportunity. I do understand that this is just ONE incident with ONE company, however I'm sincerely hoping that SOME recruiters see this situation and realize that this is NOT how you handle your recruits..

1moI had one just this week set up a phone call and the call never happened. No emails, no messages, nothing...
