Newport News shipbuilders Janice Boone, Rick Burgos and Patrick Hooper spent last Thursday afternoon cleaning and polishing a memorial plaque that pays tribute to the NNS employees who were killed in World War II. The plaque – which is affixed to our clinic – dates back to the 1940s when the facility was constructed and dedicated to those we lost in the war. This effort took place on the same day we commemorated the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion that helped lead to victory in World War II. Thank you to Janice, Rick, Patrick and the rest of our Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG) for ensuring these heroes receive the honor they deserve. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eKzPQwdX
