NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT)’s Post

NATO’s transatlantic bond is stronger than ever. The #UnitedStates prepares to host this year's #NATOSummit, a pivotal event underscoring the Allies' commitment to global stability. As a founding member of NATO, the US continues to play an important role through significant military, financial, and political contributions. In addition, #NATO is integral to US foreign policy, enhancing peace and security amidst global complexities. The US remains committed to NATO, enhancing its military prowess and global influence. NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT), NATO's sole strategic command in the #US, is dedicated to transforming the Alliance and shaping the future of its military strategy. The mission of the Command involves identifying and addressing 21st-century security challenges, ensuring that NATO maintains its edge in military capabilities. Through strategic partnerships, like with the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA), NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) fosters robust relationships across the US. As the NATO's 75th Anniversary #NATOSummit in Washington D.C. approaches, NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT)'s experts are engaging with diverse stakeholders nationwide—from civic and business leaders to NGOs, academia, and students. These engagements are crucial in fostering a deeper understanding of NATO's mission and the significance of transatlantic cooperation in upholding global stability. Jay Paxton, Chief Public Affairs Officer at NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT), emphasized during recent events with World Affairs Council of St. Louis & International Relations Council, “The strength of NATO is that despite our differences, we have always been able to unite around our core task: to defend each other and keep our people safe. The United States and Europe must stand strong and united in NATO.” While speaking about recent geopolitical events and pressure points for NATO, Mr. Paxton stressed that the United States and NATO are defining a world where autocrats are either able to steal territory they covet or not. “We didn’t ask for the fight. We’re not fighting the fight. But the fight is in Ukraine," said Mr. Paxton. Looking ahead, as NATO continues to navigate global challenges, Allied commitment remains steadfast—to defend and protect more than 1 billion of NATO citizens. #WeAreNATO #globalsecurity #future #leadership Marie-Doha Besancenot|Farah Dakhlallah|Carmen Romero|Seth George|Pierce Powers|Burt Follman|Richard Damstra|Kevin O'Malley
