28 years ago today, Amber was kidnapped while riding her bike with her brother just outside of Dallas, Texas. Her body was found about a week later. This tragic loss of life led to the creation of the AMBER Alert system which now operates internationally to ensure a quick and speedy response - as well as leveraging the public’s eyes and ears - when children go missing.
Today, marks 28 years since Amber Hagerman was abducted and murdered in a case that shook the nation and changed the way we search for abducted children. We continue to honor the life of the 9-year-old girl. Her murder remains unsolved to this day: https://lnkd.in/e33a9rrv
