LinkedIn Score Using a prompt for LinkedIn profile evaluation, I analyzed the score of my profile considering a job advertisement for a data analyst in Ireland, to discover the likelihood of being considered for the next stage of the selection process, the interview. I used both Chat GPT and Claude, providing exactly the same data, as I wanted to observe how the two tools work with better-structured inputs and with more information about my request. The analysis results presented by the AIs were quite similar, as the issues raised were the same concerning positive and negative points. Claude gave a lower score than Chat GPT, but with a difference of only 5 points. The main insight when performing this activity was the need to truly understand the engineering behind these tools. If the input given to the AI is not well-structured, lacks many objective details, a concise context, and a clear search reference, you will get a result, but it will be something generalist, shallow, and based on less relevant sources. These tools have extraordinary potential, so the better the construction of the prompts provided, the better the responses given to each analysis or search, achieving more accuracy and relevance in the outputs. Well, now the next step is to work on increasing those scores! #dataanalysis #ireland #europe #technology #carreiratech #lifelonglearning #study #buildinpublic #learnoutloud #artificialintelligence

As I recently shared here, I have resumed studying French. Initially, I considered investing in private lessons using an app called Preply, which I used a few years ago to improve my English and start learning French. However, my fiancée, who lived in France for over five years, working and studying, recommended a book with a specific methodology she used when learning the language. The book is the one in the photo, Assimil. As the company mentions on its website, with this methodology, learning languages is child's play, as it promotes intuitive learning, much like how children learn their native language. This method is divided into two stages, named the "impregnation phase" (lessons 1-49), where the language and its sounds are absorbed in 30-40 minutes of daily study, and the "activation phase" (lesson 50 onwards), where learners start creating their sentences and have the opportunity to review the activities of the first phase, explaining grammatical rules and providing cultural information. The Assimil methodology predicts reaching level B2 in an average of 4-5 months, with daily study of 30-40 minutes as mentioned above. For Portuguese speakers, I also recommend a podcast I've been listening to when I don't have much time (whether on public transport or even in the shower) which follows a similar method, from Fluency Academy, called Fluence TV Francês. After improving my French level, I plan to return to using the Preply platform, as I concluded that, in my case, I would absorb the content better during private lessons if I already had a good foundation. It has been a great challenge since I am learning French through English, but on the other hand, I am also improving my English in parallel. #dataanalysis #ireland #europe #technology #carreiratech #lifelonglearning #study #buildinpublic #learnoutloud #french #languages

Still on the AI Battle… I decided to explore a bit further, and this time, my focus was on analyzing my cover letter to test the usability and performance of these tools. I requested a rewrite of my cover letter from both Chat GPT and Claude, specifying the desired position and location. ChatGPT provided categorized feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of the document, explaining exactly why it pointed out these issues. It rewrote the text simply, making it easier to understand and apply corrections and improvements. Finally, it also offered additional suggestions for structuring the cover letter. On the other hand, Claude used bullet points to highlight information about my technical skills and professional experiences and mentioned my soft skills in a continuous text paragraph. In the end, it compared my old cover letter with the one it rewrote, commenting on the improvements made. Both highlighted my skills and experiences relevant to data analyst positions, emphasizing my technical abilities, analytical skills, and experience with data-related tools. They also showcased how my engineering background could be an asset in a data analysis role. I asked both to review each other's responses, comparing the individual analyses, so I could further narrow down the answers and make my cover letter more attractive. CONCLUSION: During this activity, I noticed that Claude gave me more concise and direct responses. It did a great job rewriting the document, even modifying the tools, soft and hard skills mentioned in the original text (removing information related to process quality and risk mitigation, my former interests), and highlighting functions I had throughout my career with a total focus on my current goal. It effectively incorporated the inputs from the competing AI. Regarding ChatGPT, while it provided good insights, the rewrite itself was too long and not that good. It altered the format of the cover letter but retained a lot of irrelevant information about my experience with processes and quality, without emphasizing my data analysis skills. It did the same when incorporating Claude's inputs, including the rewritten text. I sought to understand and apply all the resources presented by both, resulting in the final document. You can see the old (POSITION and COMPANY'S NAME in red) and new versions below. #dataanalysis #ireland #europe #technology #carreiratech #lifelonglearning #study #buildinpublic #learnoutloud

The power of a multidisciplinary team is truly incredible! This is the first time I have been able to observe, from a more professional perspective and so clearly, how working with people from different backgrounds yields such interesting results. Yesterday, the blend of psychology, product, data, entrepreneurship, engineering, and management produced great outcomes for this project that is just beginning. Each meeting, insight, and brainstorming session has been increasingly exciting. So many ideas were raised that it was difficult to note them all down! Well, I'll be sharing more about our project, ideas, and process soon... Working with such experienced professionals has been a privilege. Thank you for the opportunity Allan Bravos e Flávio Gerab! #dataanalysis #ireland #europe #technology #carreiratech #lifelonglearning #study #buildinpublic #learnoutloud

AI Battle… This is the first activity to be undertaken in the project I'm involved in with some friends and a group of people from the technology field. Understanding how various AIs work and using them daily are essential actions to stay updated in this exponentially growing market. The idea behind this activity was to use two AIs to analyze our CVs according to our professional goals. In this process, one AI would evaluate the response given by the other tool, allowing us to refine the received inputs further, making it possible to conduct a detailed review of the CV in ATS format, with the requirements typically mentioned in job descriptions, keywords, and standardized formatting. I went through nine stages, as can be seen in the mind map below, adding some notes to each of them, which was crucial for me to extract the best from both AIs. This allowed me to structure a CV with better visibility and attractiveness—clear, concise, and focused on my professional objective. #dataanalysis #ireland #europe #technology #carreiratech #lifelonglearning #study

I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Data Literacy Essentials from SAS! In this free course offered by SAS, I could understand how a person interacts with data to make sense of the world around them and, it doesn't matter if you are not a professional who works with data, data literacy is important to all situations in different fields, both in personal and professional life. To be data literate, it is essential to learn how to: - See data usefulness - Interrogate reliability - Make Meaning in Data - Make decisions - Communicate insights Four examples of situations where we use this knowledge were presented to absorb the content better, describing each step for each situation: * Customer: Used data to decide which coffee maker to purchase, improve her social media presence, and decisions about COVID-19. * Mother: Make an important decision about sending her daughter to college during the COVID-19 pandemic. * Businesswoman: Find ways to increase sales of her small business during the slow pandemic months. * Director of a Hospital: How to provide medical assistance to all patients who need care and resources at such a delicate time and with a large increase in the number of people infected by COVID-19 daily. Finally, the course also covers the definition of bias and the importance of always being aware of how it can affect our analyses in everyday work. #dataanalysis #ireland #europe #technology #carreiratech #lifelonglearning #study #dataliteracy #sas

Since I was 12 years old, I dreamt of building my life in another country, and for a long time, my focus was on Canada. I studied everything about that place: culture, customs, cuisine, job market, climate (I know, everyone tells me it's very cold! Hahaha). I even paid for consultancy to help me understand the best ways to immigrate there, confident that it would greatly improve my quality of life. For several months, I dedicated myself to learning French, as my idea was to live in the province of Quebec. I was super excited about how quickly I was absorbing the language, but I had to pause due to lack of time and money. I finished college and, just when I had enough time to refocus on this, the pandemic hit, and I found myself in a work environment that was very detrimental to my well-being, leaving me feeling exhausted all the time. More changes in jobs, cities, homes, and eventually countries followed… And here I am in Ireland. Yes, my plans changed completely and continue to change every day because everything around me is in motion. Now I know there are other ways to achieve the quality of life I desire. One of the things I decided to resume recently is studying French. I don't know what the future holds for me: a move to Canada, a better job, more time in Ireland, a remote opportunity with a French company, or even residing in France… Well, that's not as important as studying now because no one can take this knowledge away from me, and I can apply it to various situations, even if the initial plan takes a different direction. #dataanalysis #ireland #europe #technology #carreiratech #french #languages #study #lifelonglearning
